Jackets Wade through Tide

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Men's Lacrosse Team traveled to play the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday.  The Jackets started fast scoring two goals in the first two and a half minutes of the game.  The Jackets were fierce in ground balls earning extra possessions.  Building a 4-0 lead before Alabama scored two straight.  Andrew Belli scored the final goal of the quarter to put the Jackets up 5-2.  
 
The Jackets added four more in the second quarter to take a 9-2 lead into halftime.
 
Tech rotated heavily in the second half building a 12-3 lead going into the fourth.  The Tide got hot in the fourth quarter and tightened the gap but the Jackets were able to secure the win 16-9.
 
The Jackets will next host the South Carolina Gamecocks in another region game on Friday February 21.
