The Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Men's Lacrosse Team got back to their winning ways on Friday night against the 14th ranked Tennessee Volunteers. The Jackets were eager to move past the prior weekend of struggles and it showed with an eight goal first quarter. The Jackets played make-it take-it lacrosse thanks to a dominant effort from Charlie Ciardullo at the faceoff dot winning 19 of 29 draws on the evening.
After building the lead in the first quarter the Jackets continued to create high quality scoring chances, but struggled to finish. The tech defense kept the high powered Volunteers at bay most of the night.
Offensively the Jackets were paced by a career high four points from junior midfielder Matt Seifert as well as four goals while 11 different Jackets registered a point. Junior defenseman George Corbin registered his first career goal.
The Jackets will host the UConn Huskies on Sunday for senior day.
